OVERVIEW

Healthcare professionals are at the forefront of patient care and a basic understanding of risk management can help clinicians when faced with a situation involving liability. This CME activity is designed to serve as an introduction to the basics comprising risk management and includes recognizing situations that require risk management coordination, the warning signs, actions and process involved when dealing with a claim and most importantly how to assemble a response when involved in a potential adverse event.
