Dr. Yehuda Handelsman is the medical director and principal investigator of the Metabolic Institute of America and an endocrinologist in solo private practice in Tarzana, California, where he developed and successfully utilizes a comprehensive, multiple interventional approaches to preventing and managing diabetes, obesity, Lipid Disorders, and cardiovascular disease. A Master of the American College of Endocrinology and a Fellow of the American Society of Preventive Cardiology, American College of Physicians and National Lipid Association, he has been listed repeatedly in “Top Doctors of Los Angeles”, “Southern California Super Doctors,” “America’s Best Physicians” and “Best Doctors of America”.

He is a Member, Board of Directors, American Association for Preventive Cardiology. Chair of the AACE task force of the 2019 Lipid management Algorithm to Prevent cardiovascular disease. A member of the AACE Lipid & CV Health, Diabetes & Obesity Disease networks. Past president of the American College of Endocrinology (ACE) & of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and the Pacific Lipid Association.
