Waqar Ayub MBBS, MRCP

Dr. Waqar Ayub is a renal consultant at University Hospital Coventry and Warwick. His special interest is cardiorenal metabolic syndrome. He runs a cardiorenal clinic with his cardiology colleagues and a separate diabetic renal clinic.

He leads the renal research at his unit. He is one of the principal investigators of the EMPA-CKD and Stop-ACEi trials. He is a part of the faculty that teaches the nephrology Fellows, residents, and medical students at Warwick University and Hospital. He is the co-author of CKDexplained, which is a nonprofit educational organization that supports social media in medical education.
