Dr. Ulka Sachdev obtained her medical degree at Mt. Sinai University in New York and completed her residency and vascular surgery fellowship at the medical center there. She is board-certified in general and vascular surgery and serves as chief of vascular surgery at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC and co-director of the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute's Vein Center.
Dr. Sachdev was a past recipient of the Wylie Scholar Award from the Foundation for Accelerated Vascular Research and Vascular Cures and also received a grant from the NIH to conduct research in vascular disease treatments. She joined UPMC in 2006, and specializes in the treatment of venous disease.
