Dr. Herchline is a graduate of University of Cincinnati School of Medicine (1985) and completed his Infectious Diseases Fellowship (1990) at Ohio State University. After finishing his fellowship, Dr. Herchline served in the US Air Force at Keesler AFB (1990-1995) and Wright-Patterson AFB (1995-1997). He joined the faculty at Wright State University full time in 1997 and is currently Professor of Medicine. He also serves as Medical Director for Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County and Civil Surgeon for the US Citizen and Immigration Services. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Herchline has over 20 peer-reviewed publications, is author of three book chapters, and is author/editor for over 90 invited publications. Research interests include tuberculosis, staphylococci, sexually transmitted diseases and public health.
