Thomas Chi is a urologist and an associate professor of urology at UCSF. He sees patients at the UCSF Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Center of Excellence and at San Francisco General Hospital. His clinical interests include caring for patients with urinary stone disease and those in need of minimally invasive surgery. He specializes in performing endoscopic, laparoscopic and percutaneous surgeries.

Chi received his undergraduate degree in human biology from Stanford as well as master's degrees in both sociology and music. He earned his medical degree from the UC San Francisco School of Medicine. After graduating, he completed two years of general surgery residency training and then a urology residency at UCSF, followed by a fellowship in endourology and laparoscopy at UCSF.
