Sonlee West MD, FACS

Dr. Sonlee West is an Associate Professor in the UNM Department of Surgery. She completed her medical training, Surgery residency and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School. She came to UNM as a Trauma and Critical Care Surgeon in 2007. She is a former UNM KL-2 CTSC scholar and researched the immune response to trauma, prior to becoming the Medical Director for the Trauma Program at UNM Hospital in 2016. She serves as State Chair for the ACS Committee on Trauma for New Mexico.
