Simon Shimshon Rubin, Ph.D. is Director of the International Center for the Study of Loss, Bereavement and Human Resilience and Chairman of the Postgraduate Psychotherapy Program at the University of Haifa in Israel. A Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Haifa, he is also active as a Professor at the Academic College of Emek Yezreel. Professor Rubin is a clinical psychologist and maintains an active clinical practice. He has lectured and published extensively on matters related to bereavement, the field of psychotherapy training and practice, and bio- and professional ethics. Dr. Rubin is a graduate of Boston University and has held visiting appointments as a professor at the Harvard University and Northwestern University Medical Schools.
