Dr. Ralph Gerard Membrino, DMD, FAGD, experienced a peaceful passage in his home to join the Lord on Monday, October 15, 2018. He was the husband of Alda (Silva) Membrino. Ralph was born in Waterbury on April 3, 1954 son of the late Dr. Ralph J. and Emily (Somma) Membrino. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut where he received his bachelor’s degree. He then went on to study at the University of Connecticut Health Center where he received his D.M.D. in Dentistry. He served his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, Associate Fellowship of the American College of Oral Implantology, as well as the American Dental Implant Association Mastership. He later received a Bio-Research Associates Certificate of Post-Graduate Occlusal Studies, and a certificate in TMJ and Facial Pain Management from the University of Connecticut.

He worked at his practice in Waterbury for over three decades and volunteered thousands of hours performing free clinical dental work and screenings. He was a member of the American Dental Society, and the Greater Waterbury Dental Association. During his career, Ralph was awarded the International College of Dentists Award for Academic Achievement, the prestigious Pierre Fouchard Award for his Table Clinic Presentation, the New England Dental Society Certificate of Merit from Forsythe Dental School of Harvard University, and the Connecticut Academy of General Dentistry Facial Study Group Award.
