Nathan J. Smischney BS, MD

Dr. Nathan J. Smischney graduated with a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, MN (2007). He completed an anesthesiology residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH (2011), a critical care medicine fellowship at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education (2012), Mayo Clinic Scholar in the Department of Anesthesiology (2012), and will obtain his CTSA Masters of Science degree in clinical research from the Mayo Graduate School in 2017.

Dr. Smischney is a Senior Associate Consultant in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Independent Medical Practice and holds rank of Assistant Professor in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He is board certified in anesthesiology and critical care medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Some of his national memberships include the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the Society for Education in Anesthesia, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
