Dr. Megan Riehl is a clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal problems and anxiety related-disorders. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and the Clinical Director of the GI Psychology behavioral health program at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Riehl specializes in providing comprehensive treatment options for patients in the GI department. Working from a collaborative perspective, treatment can be focused on improving one's quality of life, decreasing the frequency and intensity of medical symptoms, establishing healthy stress management tools and improving coping skills. Her approach relies on principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy to design unique and flexible treatment plans tailored to the individual.
