Dr. Janelle L. Davison, OD, is an expert optometrist with 15 years of eye health and prevention experience, specializing in dry eye disease and optometry aesthetics. She is a savvy and successful business owner: Dr. Davison is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of Brilliant Eyes Vision Center. Brilliant Eyes is a well-respected vision center offering a unique premier eye spa experience.
Dr. Davison is an award-winning and nationally recognized eye care provider. Optometry Divas recognized Dr. Davison as 2021 Thought Leader of the Year. She was named a finalist for the Women in Technology Woman of the Year Science Award in 2020. In 2019, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women honored Dr. Davison as a Woman on Impact in Health. In 2018, Dr. Davison was named one of Xavier University of Louisiana’s 40 Under 40.
Dr. Davison is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Rho Zeta Omega Chapter, the Georgia Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the National Optometric Association. She graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2006. Dr. Davison has been featured in several optometric publications, including Optometric Management. She lends her expertise to organizations, such as the IDOC Alliance, where she sits on the Executive Board. Dr. Davison is also a key opinion leader for ThermaEye Plus IPL and Lunovus. She is also on the advisory panels of industry-leading dry eye and aesthetics companies, such as Novartis and RVL Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Davison’s passion for education and down-home personality have positioned her as one of the top optometrists in Cobb County. Her community involvement includes serving on the Healthcare Science Advisory Board of McEachern High School and on the Work-based Learning Advisory Board of Cobb County Schools. She has spent over 6,500 hours mentoring junior and senior high school students interested in pursuing healthcare careers.
