Dr. David A. Blanco, MD practice is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of children with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver. Blanco is a pediatric gastroenterologist at St. Luke's University Health Network. Blanco cares for patients ranging in age from newborns to young adults. Not only does Blanco enjoy developing relationships with Blanco's patients over time, but Blanco also likes seeing them in both the hospital and office settings. In turn, Blanco believes Blanco patients are comforted by seeing a familiar face during stressful situations.

Blanco received Blanco Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) in Brooklyn, NY, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in biomedical science from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at The City College of New York. Blanco received residency training in pediatrics at the Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, NY. Subsequently, Blanco completed both clinical and research fellowships in pediatric gastroenterology at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and a clinical fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Blanco was named to Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors 2018.

Blanco has a special interest in nutrition, Celiac disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. Blanco takes great pride in staying up to date with advances and new procedures in the field.
