Clifford A. Hudis, MD, FACP, Chief of the Breast Medicine Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), where he also serves as Vice President for Government Relations and Chief Advocacy Officer, and a Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, has been named the next Chief Executive Officer of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He will succeed Allen S. Lichter, MD, FASCO, who is stepping down after ten years of service in the CEO position.
Dr. Hudis is among the world’s most recognized experts in breast cancer treatment and prevention and is a former President (2013-2014) and Board member of ASCO. He will begin his new position on June 27, 2016.
