Anna Nowak PhD

Dr Anna Nowak is an academic Medical Oncologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Western Australia, and Professor of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences,University of Western Australia. She is a Medical Oncologist and member of the Perth Mesothelioma Centre and National Research Centre for Asbestos Related Diseases (NCARD) who has participated actively in mesothelioma research over the past 10 years, and has received international recognition in this area.
Her clinical research on unidimensional measurement of response in mesothelioma culminated in the development of the Modified RECIST Criteria for tumour response which have been widely accepted for use in clinical trials in this disease. She has been an invited speaker internationally on tumour measurement and clinical trials in mesothelioma.
