Alexandre A. Abizaid MD, PhD

Prof. Abizaid serves as Chief of Coronary Interventions at Institute Dante Pazzanese de Cardiologia in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  Dr. Abizaid is a member of the Sao Paulo State of Brazil Society of Cardiology and the Latin American Society of Interventional Cardiology, a fellow trainee of the American College of Cardiology, and certified as a specialist in Cardiology by the Brazilian Society of Interventional Cardiology. He is also a key faculty member of CRF who spends part of his time in Sao Paulo leading an active research program, and in New York at CRF and Columbia, where he plays an important role as an associate director of TCT.  Prof. Abizaid conducted the MGuard Coronary trial in Brazil.
