Strategies Assessment Fundamentals Education (SAFE) Opioid Prescribing : ER/LA Opioids - Perspectives on Patient Assessment and Therapy Management is organized by Pri-Med and would be held during Jun 16, 2015 - Jun 16, 2017. The target audience for this medical event are basically for physicians. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 1.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

This curriculum is designed to increase prescribers’ understanding of appropriate patient assessment and prescribing practices that can help reduce misuse, abuse, and overdose deaths associated with ER/LA opioid analgesics.

Objectives :
• Identify risk factors for opioid-related aberrant behavior
• Differentiate between tolerance, physical dependence and addiction
• Convert patients from immediate release to ER/LA opioids as well as from one ER/LA opioid to another
• Identify predisposing risk factors for significant respiratory depression.
