Purpose Statement:
As neuroradiology science and technology continues to evolve, the need for updates in techniques and training becomes more pressing. Penn Radiology’s renowned faculty responds with a thorough review of best practices in this essential subspecialty. Comprehensive Neuroradiology: Imaging Ideals will benefit imagers, neurologists and neurosurgeons with an extremely detailed analysis of anatomy, conditions, modalities and procedures. Topics include neoplastic and non-neoplastic disorders of the brain, spine, head and neck, acute stroke, trauma, tumors, vascular malformations, hydrocephalus, thyroid, lesions, variants, skull base, TMJ, pediatrics and much more. Comprehensive Neuroradiology: Imaging Ideals will improve physician confidence and familiarity when exploring and diagnosing all areas of the brain, spine, head and neck

Objectives:
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
•  Discuss MR and CT appearances of abnormalities in the brain, spine, head and neck
• Summarize state-of-the-art concepts of acute stroke imaging and review common stroke mimics
• Evaluate a spectrum of cancers affecting the CNS and thyroid
• Discuss the fundamentals of interpretation of adult and pediatric neuroimaging in the emergency department. Describe the imaging appearance of pathology affecting the  paranasal
• sinuses, aerodigestive tract, sellar and parasellar region
• Discuss pertinent differential diagnoses of common neuro-radiologic disease processes
• Recognize missed diagnoses and imaging pearls in the head and neck
