What is the significance of the ONLINE Head&Neck Neuroradiology Fellowship - Skull base and orbits Course?
Course Description:
The goal of this short online fellowship is to address the chosen common head and neck topics and start practicing instantly by reading selected cases together with the mentor. Chosen topics will first be performed in a lecture format, followed by representative cases. The participants will examine the images, first by themselves and then together with the mentor and the group.
The fellowship comprises an overview of the skull base and orbits in three consecutive 4-5-hour sessions in the late afternoon and early evening (Central European Time). There is a second short online fellowship meeting other H&N topics (neck & sinuses, cancer & trauma).
One to two daily lectures will present the knowledge to be incorporated during the case reading sessions. Questions and comments are encouraged during the lectures. After each lecture, the fellows will individually review and read around 10 selected clinical cases. This will be followed by a mentor's interpretations, questions, and comments, along with group discussion. Reporting templates will be recommended to assist navigate and write adequate reports. The participants will have continuous access to the cases, from the week before through the week after the fellowship.
In this fellowship with a limited number of 15 radiologists, you will intensify and strengthen your knowledge and understanding of head and neck imaging. Interactivity will be placed through the Zoom platform, and webcam use is encouraged to enhance the experience of a virtual reading room. The participants will have constant access to the cases, from the week before through the week after the fellowship. At least 20 additional cases will also be available for individual review, along with respective diagnoses.
At the conclusion of the program, the fellows should be able to identify common skull base and orbital pathology and to answer frequent clinical questions in their reports.
Course Objectives:
