OVERVIEW

This CME/CE course comprehensively explains neurocutaneous disorders, including Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC), Neurofibromatosis, and Sturge-Weber Syndrome (SWS).   1. Define neurocutaneous syndromes and their clinical significance, including the genetic and clinical features of conditions like Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC), Neurofibromatosis, and Sturge-Weber Syndrome (SWS).
  2. Examine the diagnostic criteria and treatment strategies for Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC), emphasizing the multidisciplinary approach to managing its neurological, dermatological, and systemic manifestations.
  3. Explore the clinical characteristics and management of facial angiofibromas, cortical tubers, subependymal nodules, and schwannomas, highlighting their implications in neurocutaneous disorders.
  4.  Discuss the treatment options for Neurofibromatosis and Sturge-Weber Syndrome (SWS), including innovative approaches such as genetic counseling and laser surgery.
  5. Evaluate the role of classification systems and emerging treatment modalities in improving patient outcomes across diverse neurocutaneous syndromes.
