Course Description:
Basic and Clinical Immunology series provides clinicians with a review of basic and clinical immunology. It is comprised of A-B-C teaching with an emphasis on biologic principles and implications and focuses on three areas- basic overview of immunology, a review of current advances, and biologic therapies for IMIDS.
This webcast will review the human immune system as it relates to microbiome and the developing insights currently being offered.
Learning Objectives
• Describe how the human immune system has co-evolved in the presence of the microbiome.
• Highlight the diversity of microbes within us.
• Identify the range of functions associated with the influence of the microbiome.
• Discuss examples in which dysbiosis contributes to clinical disease.
