Evolving Strategies for Chronic Pain Management: Targeting Multiple Pain Mechanisms to Improve Efficacy and Reduce Opioid Abuse Potential is organized by North American Center for Continuing Medical Education (NACCME) and would be held during Sep 27, 2016 - Sep 27, 2017.

The target audience for this medical event are PCPs and pain professionals who manage patients with chronic pain. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit

Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
• Utilize the latest CDC clinical practice guidelines on opioid use to help overcome the burdens imparted by misuse of opioid therapies
• Explain the various physiological components of chronic pain and the implications for therapeutic options that target multiple pain mechanisms
• Differentiate among current opioid agents and emerging pharmacologic options for chronic pain in terms of MOA, efficacy, safety, abuse potential, and level of evidence used to determine respective labeling categories
• Apply evidence-based data and abuse reduction strategies to overcome barriers to appropriate chronic pain management
