Course Description: 
Extravasation is a rare occurrence, but being prepared and having a plan is critical for patient safety.  This module helps pharmacists establish or improve their practices to provide accurate and efficient care during extravasation.

Learning Objectives:
• Identify the difference between a vesicant and an irritant
• Identify risk factors and strategies to prevent extravasation
• Recognize and manage drug extravasations per accepted national standards/guidelines
• Formulate policies regarding extravasation
