16th Annual OhioHealth Capital City Sports Medicine Symposium : Breakout Session Video Recordings is organized by OhioHealth.

Overview:
This enduring material activity is designed to provide the latest information regarding prevention, recognition and treatment of athletic injuries. This course will focus on practical and clinically relevant information for participants to use in their daily practice. This course is intended for primary care physicians, team physicians, sports medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, nurses and other interested healthcare professionals.

Objectives:
After completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Discuss the need for surgical intervention in pathologies related to the knee, foot and ankle.
• Recognize common psychological stressors in today’s adolescent athlete.
• Identify how to provide gender diverse care in an adolescent athlete and support a transgender athlete.
• Review current research related to rehabilitation modalities including dry needling, cupping, and blood flow restriction.
• Apply the latest medical and orthopedic treatments for active patients with a musculoskeletal injury.
