Description:
The signs and symptoms associated with multiple sclerosis, the varied aspects of disease progression, lack of specific biomarkers, and difficult-to-interpret imaging results often lead to diagnostic errors, both misdiagnosis and under diagnosis. With MS, these errors can lead to unnecessary and potentially harmful risks to patients from treatment strategies that are based on incorrect diagnoses. Pitfalls in the Diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis Case-Based Series will discuss the criteria for diagnosis and review of guidelines to improve diagnosis rates ultimately, improving patient care.

This case, Single Radiological Lesion, will discuss the McDonald's criteria and management of a single radiological lesion on MRI.

Learning Objectives:
• Apply the McDonald’s criteria for the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.
• Describe the predictors of risk of conversion from clinically isolated syndrome to the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.
• Discuss the management of a single radiological lesion on MRI.

Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
