Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, learners will be able to:

  2. Conduct effective pain assessments using validated tools and adjust approaches for diverse patient populations.
  3. Apply a multimodal approach to pain management, integrating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
  4. Safely administer opioid and non-opioid analgesics, considering appropriate dosing, side effects, and patient-specific factors.
  5. Develop individualized, patient-centered pain management plans for pain relief and functional improvement.
  6. Recognize and address ethical and cultural considerations in pain management, including autonomy, bias, and equitable care.
  7. Identify and recommend relevant community resources and support systems for patients managing chronic pain.
