Outcomes
90% of participants will understand what factors interfere with functional handwriting and which of these factors can be addressed by occupational therapy.

Objectives
At the completion of this course, participants will be able to complete the following:
• Outline the underlying skills affecting functional handwriting that can be addressed by occupational therapy, including the areas that are best addressed by another discipline.
• List at least four secondary educational benefits realized when students write.
• Identify a variety of underlying skills required for functional handwriting.
• List three handwriting assessments commonly used by therapists.
