Course Description:
Most imaging professionals have completed an ethics course in their initial primary education and training; however, many advocate that regular on-going conversations about ethics help prepare individuals to recognize ethical situations and to take the right action. The primary purpose of this course is to offer a review of fundamental ethical principles, codes, and rules by which radiologic technologists are expected to follow when faced with situations requiring a decision or action. This course introduces and defines ethics and ethical philosophies, focuses on the ARRT® Code of Ethics and Rules of Ethics, and reviews basic laws related to medical imaging and an ethical workplace environment.
