Objectives
After completing this course, the learner will be able to:
• Characterize unique aspects of dependent adult abuse occurring in different ethnic and racial minorities.
• Recognize physical trauma that is highly indicative of physical abuse.
• Relate the characteristics commonly found in those who use abusive tactics.
• Describe interventions that can be put in place to prevent abuse.
• Outline findings that are suggestive of dependent adult abuse, both subjective and objective findings.
• Describe when and how to report suspected abuse and what channels to follow.
