Description:
This webinar will provide an overview of symptoms of psychosis, discuss the interplay between psychosis and substance use, and provide intervention options for providers working with this complex presentation. These interventions, rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), provide additional options for treatment beyond traditional medication treatment approaches.
Learning Objectives:
• Participants will be able to define positive and negative symptoms of psychosis.
• Participants will be able to describe the ways psychosis and substance use interact.
• Participants will be able to integrate at least two interventions to address co-occurring substance use and psychosis.
