Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) - Spring 2024 is organized by University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and will be held from Feb 02 - May 03, 2024. This activity is designated for 150 units of continuing education credit.
Program Description
Led by Elena Francisco, RDHAP, MS, this online program is designed for dental hygienists and dental professionals interested in expanding their knowledge and ability to treat people with complex physical, medical, or psychological needs and patients in underserved communities. It fulfills the Dental Hygiene Board of California's 150-hour education requirement to apply for an RDHAP license. As California's population continues to grow, it has become one of the most diverse in the United States. Promoting oral health is becoming increasingly challenging. This virtual program is designed to reach professionals in both rural and urban areas. Two live interactive webinar sessions will allow students to meet their peers and instructors virtually.
To successfully complete this program, students will be required to attend the two live webinars via Zoom (first and last day) and complete online lectures, quizzes, case reports, and a field study. Upon completion of the course, DHBC will be notified of the participant's attendance and course completion.
