OVERVIEW

MRI Training Course for Technologists - Live Webinar is organized by Medical Technology Management Institute (MTMI) and will be held from Dec 08 - 12, 2025.

Description:
This 5-day MRI course combined with ScanLabMR™ virtual scanning completely redefines cross-training.

You will receive a comprehensive learning experience that meets ARRT structured education requirements for MRI technologist certification. In this MRI training program for technologists seeking certification, you will learn the basic principles and concepts of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), techniques in manipulating MR parameters to optimize image quality, pulse sequences, artifacts, patient education, screening and safety considerations, anatomy and physiology, case studies, MR protocols and more.

With your registration for this MRI cross-training course for technologists, you will have access to the ScanLab online MRI scanning simulation software. You’ll experience realistic MRI scans and clinical situations. You’ll produce images that would be achieved in a real MRI.

The instructors will include virtual scanning demonstrations to add practical understanding to their lectures. You'll have access to the MRI simulation software for five months.

This MRI program for technologists is perfect for those seeking certification, providing more than the 16 hours of structured education related to the content specifications outlined by the ARRT, required for MRI certification and registration.

Educational Objectives:
After this course, participants should be able to:
• Explain and review the basic principles of magnetic resonance imaging
• Utilize appropriate MR pulse sequences in clinical imaging
• Recognize and minimize MRI artifacts
• Incorporate current knowledge of biological effects and safety considerations when working in the MR environment
• Describe techniques in manipulating MR parameters to optimize image quality
• Explain the proper selection and usage of MR coils to optimize image quality
• Discuss advanced imaging procedures of neuroimaging including cranial nerves and brain perfusion protocols and techniques?
• Understand proper screening for patients and personnel when working in an MRI environment?
• Demonstrate proper screening for patients and personnel when working in an MRI environment?
• Understand patient care and communication needs for sedation, contrast media, and infection control
• Discuss policies and procedures and legal liabilities in MR
• Understand implant cards and off-label scanning
• Understand protocols and procedures for special body imaging, including Enterography, urography, and rectal imaging
• Explain the basic functions of ScanLabMR software to perform simulated MR scans
