Trimester - 3: Eczema Course is organized by The Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD) and will be held from Aug 21 - Nov 05, 2023.

Description:
These courses are designed to provide Doctors and related health professionals with knowledge and skills in a range of Dermatology and skin health areas to develop their expertise and confidence in dealing with patients who present with dermatological conditions. It aims to assist you in the day-to-day management of these patients and in making the decision as to when to refer a patient to a dermatologist.

Completion of this course does not provide you with qualifications in dermatology or guarantee you access to the ACD Specialist Training Program. In order to practice as a Specialist Dermatologist you must complete the ACD Specialist Training Program.

Course Learning Outcomes:
At the successful completion of this course, you should be able to:
• Identify and describe cutaneous changes that may be associated with eczema
• Critically analyse clinical cutaneous observations and/or investigations to diagnose eczema
• Plan and develop treatment and management regimens appropriate to eczema
• Assess when to refer a patient on to a specialist dermatologist

Outline & Components:
This online course will familiarise you with Atopic dermatitis (AD), otherwise called atopic eczema, which forms part of the atopic triad with asthma and allergic rhinitis.  The module also covers in detail specific conditions that often have an association with internal abnormalities.

This course consists of three online topics:
• Atopic Eczema/Dermatitis
• Endogenous Dermatitis
• Specific Disorders.
