Cardio-Oncology Summit 2021 is organized by Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) Department of Surgery.
Program Overview :
The inaugural New York-Presbyterian/CUIMC Cardio-Oncology Summit program will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the rapidly emerging field of cardio-oncology. The program consists of 6 unique sessions that will address key questions in the management of cardiac disease in patients with cancer, as well as cancer survivors. Columbia University's Cardio-Oncology program has established new clinical pathways for Cardio-Oncology care from the prevention of cardiac disease to the management of long-term cardiac toxicities. Sessions will consist of case-based discussions, lectures, and Q&A, presented by a multidisciplinary group of experts in the field of carido-oncology from New York-Presbyterian/CUIMC, as well as invited guests faculty.
Learning Objectives :
• Identify immunotherapy related cardiotoxicities and learn the latest recommended treatments
• Review the current strategies in monitoring and prevention of cardiotoxicity of Anthracycline and HER 2 targeted therapies
• Review advances in the management of Cardiac AL Amyloidosis
• Understand contemporary patient selection and outcomes of LVAD and Heart Transplantation in cancer survivors
