Cardiac sarcoidosis: the multimodality imaging approach is organized by European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and will be held on Apr 25, 2023.
Learning Objectives:
After watching this webinar, participants will understand how:
• to use multimodality imaging in the diagnosis of cardiac sarcoidosis;
• to make a differential diagnosis with phenocopies; and
• to use multimodality imaging for arrhythmic risk stratification of such patients.
Needs assessment and expected educational outcome:
To raise awareness about the role of multimodality imaging in the diagnosis and risk stratification of potential SCD patients in line with recent updates to the ESC Guidelines on Ventricular Arrhythmias and Sudden Cardiac Death. Cardiac sarcoidosis is a challenging diagnosis – based on different clinical criteria and, most importantly, on imaging characteristics – with a poor prognosis, especially in relation to the development of ventricular arrhythmias.
