OVERVIEW

British Menopause Society (BMS) Menopause Masterclass 2024 is organized by British Menopause Society (BMS) and will be held on Sep 24, 2024.

Overview:
Sex and the menopause – redundancy or rejuvenation?

  • Sexual concerns are often shared during a menopause consultation but do you have the confidence to deal with them? Using a biopsychosocial approach, we consider causes and “cures” for sexual dysfunction so that you are better able to help your patients find the essential elements to rediscover sexual pleasure.

Menopause and sleep

  • Sleep disturbance is common in perimenopause and the menopause and has been identified as a key symptom of menopause transition.  Not all women will meet the criteria for a formal diagnosis of insomnia, but many will experience insomnia symptoms, e.g., mid-night or early morning awakening with inability to return to sleep.  Some may attribute sleep disturbance to vasomotor symptoms, but this relationship is complex.  This session will look at sleep disturbance in menopause and which treatments might be beneficial.

Management of menopause in women with breast cancer

  • This case-based session will discuss an MDT approach to managing menopausal symptoms in women with a prior history of breast cancer.

Please Note: This webinar will not be recorded.
