A Basic Course of Dermatopathology (ABCD) 2025

A Basic Course of Dermatopathology (ABCD) 2025 is organized by British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) and will be held from Feb 24 - 26, 2025.

Course Description:
This three-day course is targeted to medically trained physicians, dermatologists in training and Dermatology Consultants who wish to enhance their basic knowledge of skin pathology in a structured format.

This will include lectures covering the basic topics in Dermatology, live interactive sessions of clinical-pathological cases with quiz and Q&A, with continuous chat support, and review of teaching pearls at the virtual microscope with the Course directors. Participants will receive a stepwise comprehensive exposure to the basic principles of dermatopathology. Special emphasis will be given to clinical-pathological correlation and to understanding the value of integrating dermatopathology in clinical practice.

• Increase their knowledge of basic dermatopathology
• Enhance their overall diagnostic skills
• Understand the value of clinical-pathological correlation
• Improve their interpretation of a dermatopathology report and communication with the dermatopathologist
• Preparation of exams

Lectures and CPC vignettes in a quiz format and practical review of slides at the virtual microscope on the following Topics:

• Day 1: Principles of basic dermatopathology & ‘Top to bottom’: Epidermis.
• Day 2: ‘Top to bottom’: Dermis and subcutaneous tissue.
• Day 3: Benign and malignant skin tumours.
