Course Description:
Dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA), or bone densitometry, is routinely used to measure bone mineral density and body composition assessment. This X-Ray Lady course is based on the International Atomic Energy Agency’s publication Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry for Bone Mineral Density and Body Composition Assessment. This course reviews DXA safety and ethics, including radiation protection and dose considerations. This course also covers scan techniques, acquisition, analysis, quality control, artifacts, and reporting.

This course has a corresponding posttest with 32 multiple choice and true/false questions.
