In this edition of the Symposium, attention is also paid to the elderly patient. For example, Josephine Stoffels will take you through the treatment options for vulnerable elderly people with a hematological disorder. And Mirjam Bekkers-Cruden, in her presentation, wonders what the limits are to the treatment options for the elderly patient with breast cancer.

In addition, the program committee will again pay attention to the broader social perspective in which the elderly must hold their own. Frederieke van de Bos, for example, will provide insight into new strategies to monitor elderly patients with cancer in a modern way.
