Urologic Conference is organized by Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA) and will be held from Sep 26 - 29, 2024 at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld®, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

Learn and connect with urology nurse colleagues – in person or virtually. The hybrid educational program allows you to choose the learning experience that meets your personal and professional needs. The conference will feature the following education tracks throughout concurrent session blocks:

  • Oncology – This track will address and discuss various forms of urologic cancers and sequalae, including bladder, prostate, kidney, testicular & penile as well as pediatric Wilm's tumor.
  • Trauma / Pain – This track will address and discuss trauma informed care, sex trafficking, and various aspects of care pertaining to pelvic pain, including pain management, vulvar dermatology, and pelvic floor therapy for patients with pelvic pain. The pelvic floor physical therapy lecture will also include clinical application of pelvic floor relaxation exercises in real time. Bring your yoga mat or towel for interactive learning!
  • Clinical Skills / MA – This track will focus on an introduction to the basic understanding of urology and clinical urology skills. Foundations include urologic embryology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. Clinical skills include set up and preparation for urologic procedures, such as tubes, vasectomy, cystoscopy, trial void practices, etc., as well as guidance for triage of urology patients. This track also includes a lecture on the care of dementia patients with incontinence.

Program Learning Outcome:
85% of the participants will self-report an intention to change their practice through implementation of newly acquired evidence-based information gained from this conference.

SUNA's uroLogic Conference will offer at least 13 NCPD contact hours (CH). In addition, optional preconference workshops will offer the following contact hours:

  • Preconference 010 – 8.0 CH
  • Preconference 020 – 4.0 CH
  • Preconference 030 – 4.0 CH
  • Preconference 040 – 4.0 CH
  • Preconference 050 – 4.0 CH

The Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA) is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The SUNA accreditation is reciprocal in the states and specialty organizations that recognize the ANCC-COA accreditation process. SUNA is also a provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 5556. Accreditation and approved provider status of CE in nursing does not imply ANCC-COA approval or endorsement of any product, advertising, or educational content. SUNA urges all participants to be aware of the CE requirements for re-licensure in the states in which they hold a license.

On-Demand Conference Sessions
On-demand conference sessions may be available for additional contact hour credit via the SUNA Online Library. These sessions are automatically included with your conference registration and feature pre-recorded conference content to enhance conference offerings.

Free Contact Hours
SUNA Main Conference Registrants will receive an additional 5 free contact hours at no extra cost! Registrants will have approximately 6 weeks to complete the online evaluations in the SUNA Online Library and receive the contact hours for the conference sessions they attend. After the evaluation deadline, main conference registrants will receive instructions on how to earn the additional free 5 contact hours.

Pharmacology Credit
Some pharmacology credit will be awarded. The total number of approved pharmacology credits is yet to be determined. NOTE: Rx indicates anticipated pharmacology credit.
