Description:
Sudden cardiac death remains a leading public health concern that continues to be the subject of clinical and translational research aimed at predicting and improving outcomes of patients who are at risk for and survive cardiac arrest. The planning committee recognizes the importance of continued education of providers at all levels in providing the most up to date evidence.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:

  • Analyze the changing landscape of sudden death with new heart failure therapies
  • Evaluate the current evidence for using wearable defibrillators
  • Update providers on the latest evidence and best practices in resuscitation
  • Assess the tools and limitations of sudden death prediction
