OVERVIEW

Pediatric Postmortem Imaging is organized by Nemours children's Health system and will be held from Jan 25 - 26, 2025 at Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

Description:
This two-day event aims to expand the knowledge of clinicians and focus on advanced postmortem imaging techniques, including ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Learners will gain insights into imaging interpretation, techniques, and the establishment and management of postmortem imaging services with collaboration with pathology. This is the first conference on this topic to be held in the US.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:

  • Appropriately protocol postmortem imaging using CT or MRI and access resources in the literature for assistance when needed.
  • Differentiate imaging findings associated with expected postmortem changes from true pathology, and understand when differentiation cannot be made and consultation with pathology is required.
  • Approach development of a postmortem imaging service.
