The ISDSP aims to promote the discipline of the use of food supplements and phytotherapy in daily diet, health care, and medicine for public welfare. With folic acid, gynecology and obstetrics was one of the first areas in which food supplementation has been shown to have an essential role for the health of the individual. Continuing on this path, more and more evidence shows us how other interventions of food supplementation have a growing role in this discipline. For this reason, this congress aims to promote and disseminate the available evidence regarding all aspects related to the use of food supplements for the prevention, management, and treatment of gynecological and obstetric diseases alone or integrated with pharmacological therapies, also highlighting the most controversial aspects where further research is needed.
