Description:
The course brings together an extraordinary scientific program that provides participants with up-to-date knowledge in complex anterior and lateral approach surgeries using navigation and robotics, offering the highest level of discussion and application of techniques relevant to this topic. The innovative teaching methodology will allow a great interaction with participants to share thoughts and experiences with colleagues from different Latin American countries and international Faculty. Participants will be able to deepen their knowledge through lectures, case discussions and practical exercises on human specimens.

Goal:
The main objective of this event is to share thoughts and experiences with colleagues from different Latin American countries and international professors, expanding the alternatives of experienced spine surgeons.

Objectives:
At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize the main indications for the use of anterior and lateral approaches.
  • Identify iatrogenic causes as causes of post-surgical deformity.
  • Discuss the best clinical-surgical approach for patients with degenerative pathology and deformity of the lumbar spine.
  • Plan the surgical proposal step by step.
  • Discuss the main safe strategies of anterior and lateral approaches.
  • Make appropriate use of navigation and robotic technologies relevant to the topic. 
  • Mitigate the risks of anterolateral approaches.
