OVERVIEW

ABIM Internal Medicine Board Review is organized by A-Cross Medicine Reviews and will be held from Jul 31 - Aug 03, 2025 at Sheraton Chicago O'Hare Airport Hotel, Rosemont, Illinois, United States of America.

Description:
This program is designed to increase attendee knowledge and competence in a variety of internal medicine topics. These include hypertension, lipid management, common ENT problems, ethical dilemmas, current diabetes management, plus a multitude of others. All topics presented will utilize evidence-based guidelines from the literature.

Statement of Need:
Common internal medicine issues are being updated continually by specialty and government agencies. It is difficult for the internal medicine physician to stay abreast of all the current new guidelines and recommendations. Physicians and other medical providers are in need of streamlined approaches to common primary care issues. Internal medicine physicians in particular must prepare for their initial certification or participate in continuing maintenance of certification. This course is presented to meet this particular need.

Goal:
The overall goals of the conference are to impact the diagnostic and treatment of patients seen in internal medicine practices and prepare the participant to be successful on an initial or MOC certification examination.

Course Objectives for the Board Review Course:

  • Increase and refresh knowledge of core topics in internal medicine and the subspecialties through discussion of common and not-so-common clinical problems.
  • Become adept working through difficult test questions logically and successfully.
  • Implement changes in clinical practice in accordance with recent advances and clinical guidelines.
  • Critique and implement the current guidelines that pertain to Internal Medicine.
