OVERVIEW

2025 Northwestern 3-Day Open and Endoscopic Skull base Program is organized by Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine - Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held from Mar 07 - 09, 2025 at Northwestern Simulation Lab, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.

Overview:
Program includes anatomical hands-on dissections emphasizing open and endoscopic skull base surgery, lectures and prosections, case studies and tumor board discussion as well as 3D anatomy presentations.

Objectives:

  • Review the surgical approaches (open and endoscopic ) for complex, skull base pathologies
  • Recognize the advantages of a team based approach for managing pre, peri and post operative skull base pathologies
  • Demonstrate proficient endoscopic instrument handling and performing standard open skull base approaches
  • Master Minimally invasive endoscopic endonasal approaches to the sellar and para-sellar area, advanced orbital-zygomatic craniotomy
  • Identify complex skull base pathologies
