OVERVIEW

2025 New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH) Annual Conference is organized by New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH) and will be held from May 27 - 30, 2025 at The Roosevelt New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana, United States of America.

Description:
This premier educational event brings together international experts from across the  endovascular field to explore cutting-edge advancements and innovative approaches to treating  cardiovascular disease, peripheral artery disease (PAD), and critical limb ischemia (CLI).  Entering its 26th year, the conference will offer an exceptional platform for education,  collaboration, and inspiration, with a special focus on Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD,  Venous Disease, Coronary Chronic Total Occlusions (CTO), and Structural Heart  Procedures.

Key Highlights of the Conference:
In-Depth Sessions on PAD and CLI: Gain insights into advanced therapeutic approaches,  patient care strategies, and emerging technologies for the treatment of PAD and CLI.

Comprehensive Educational Objectives:
Equip yourself with practical knowledge and  skills to:

  • Discuss the indications, risks, and complications of interventional therapies for  cardiovascular and peripheral diseases.
  • Implement contemporary strategies in peripheral vascular management, covering carotid, renal, mesenteric, SFA, below-the-knee, venous, and aortic  interventions.
  • Integrate evidence-based data from recent clinical trials into your practice.
  • Apply state-of-the-art endovascular technologies to enhance patient outcomes. Understand optimal pharmacologic management strategies for vascular and  cardiovascular patients.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, screening techniques, and comprehensive  care approaches for patients with foot ulcers and threatened limbs.
  • Recognize the critical roles of a multidisciplinary PAD clinical team in delivering holistic patient care.

Why Attend?
With world-renowned faculty and interactive sessions, this conference offers  unparalleled opportunities to deepen your knowledge, refine your skills, and engage with peers  dedicated to advancing cardiovascular care. Attendees will leave equipped to navigate the  complexities of vascular diseases and implement innovative treatments that transform patient  outcomes.

Focused Education:
With a special focus on lower extremity peripheral artery disease (PAD) and critical limb ischemia (CLI) to address the need for amputation prevention techniques, the annual conference provides educational sessions for endovascular specialists, podiatrists, family physicians, nurses and cath lab technologists with specific accreditations for each specialty.

Overview:
This program highlights the benefits of the multidisciplinary approach to patient care, which includes primary care physicians, nurses, podiatrists, surgeons, wound care specialists and lab technicians. PAD, CLI, coronary artery disease and stroke are very complex diseases that require the collaborative efforts of a multidisciplinary team to treat successfully. The audience represents the different healthcare fields that need to come together to raise awareness among patients about CVD symptoms, the importance of follow-up care and the dangers that not seeking treatment may lead to, including stroke, amputation and death.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the indications, risks and complications of interventional therapies in the treatment of cardiovascular disease, peripheral artery disease, and critical limb ischemia.
  • Implement contemporary approaches in peripheral vascular management (including carotid, renal and mesenteric, SFA, below the knee, venous disease and aortic) based on recent clinical trials and evidenced-based data.
  • Apply appropriate applications of new endovascular technologies for patients with vascular disease.
  • Describe appropriate pharmacologic management in the care of patients with cardiovascular disease, peripheral artery disease and critical limb ischemia.
  • Discuss various testing modalities and comprehensive spectrum of care in patients with foot ulcers and threatened limbs.
  • Explain proper use and interpretation of diagnostic tools and apply appropriate screening techniques for peripheral artery disease.
  • Recognize the roles and responsibilities of multidisciplinary members of a comprehensive PAD clinical team.
  • Discuss and apply new trends in less invasive surgery.
  • Recognize and articulate the current state of healthcare in the US: Where we are and where we are going.
  • Define and assess the role of the physician in management of PAD: From screening to limb salvage.

Activity Goal:
This activity is designed to address the following core and team competencies:
Patient Care, Medical Knowledge, Practice-based Learning and Improvement, System-based Practice, Teams & Teamwork, Roles & Responsibilities, and Interprofessional Communication.
