2025 Pediatric Cardiovascular Symposium, a premier event dedicated to advancing the care and treatment of pediatric cardiovascular conditions. This symposium brings together nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and other health care professionals to discuss the latest developments, innovative therapies and best practices in pediatric cardiology. This lecture series focuses on the patient care of Norwood procedure from diagnosis to discharge.

Overall conference objectives:

  • Discuss how single ventricle heart defects are diagnosed in utero, using fetal echocardiogram.
  • Review surgical considerations during the Norwood Procedure.
  • Examine the identification and management of patient decompensation following the Norwood procedure.
  • Review the pharmacologic management of patients following a Norwood procedure.
  • Demonstrate an increased knowledge of the Norwood patient population post-operative complications.
