OVERVIEW

Slope Side Imaging 2024 is organized by Penn Medicine - Department of Radiology and will be held from Feb 05 - 09, 2024 at Grand Hyatt Vail, Vail, Colorado, United States of America.

Description:
This course is designed for clinical radiologists and focuses on algorithmic approaches to common challenging imaging diagnoses encountered in day-to-day clinical practice. Experienced subspecialty faculty will cover abdominal, breast, chest, and neuroradiology imaging topics. Didactic lectures will emphasize methodical and practical approaches to complex cases rather than granular disease-related details. The course design allows attendees to apply these approaches in daily instructor-led curated and interactive case sessions highlighting materials learned in the preceding didactics.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review imaging presentations of orbital pathology with an emphasis on proptosis
  • Use anatomy and imaging features to diagnose lesions involving the sella and parasellar regions
  • Identify and characterize the key features of a closed-loop small bowel obstruction
  • Review the imaging features of common and uncommon non-neoplastic cancer mimics in the abdomen and pelvis
  • Describe the application of AI in mammographic screening
  • Discuss the benefits of incorporating imaged-based data in personalized risk assessment for breast cancer development and detection
