Description:
Restoring occlusion and the facial skeleton to ideal form and function is the foundation to treating dentofacial trauma, deformity and sleep-disordered breathing. During this case-based lecture course, Drs. Liu and Roberts will cover the foundational knowledge in dentistry, and its contemporary applications to facial trauma repair, orthognathic surgery and sleep-apnea intervention.
Learninig Objectives:
• To recognize signs and symptoms of dentofacial trauma patients presenting to dental clinics
• To participate proactively in the overall care of more complex facial trauma patients
• To recognize signs and symptoms of patients with sleep-disordered breathing
• To communicate with other dental specialists and surgeons for orthognathic surgery with airway considerations
